House of Pain

"Pack it up, pack it in, let me begin"...the Air Alert program, son. Today (30 March, 2008) was day zero of my 15 week (105 day) commitment to become awesome...Awesome to the MAX!

Wait, let me be more clear about this. Air Alert is a vertical jump training program. It was designed to, at it's completion, increase a person's vertical leap by 8 to 14 inches. As noted in a previous post, my current vertical leap is 31 inches. With an 8 to 14 inch gain, I could theoretically have a vertical between 39 and 45 inches (45? Yea, right haha) by the time I finish my training. All I have to do is jump; "So get out your seats and jump around/ Jump around, Jump around, Jump around/ Jump up Jump up and get down/ JUMP, JUMP, JUMP, JUMP..."

My expectations aren't as ridiculously lofty. I know I'm not going to gain 14 inches on a 31 inch vertical in just four months. My goal is increase by average of 0.5 inches each week, and an overall goal of 40 to 42 inches, or an increase of between 9 and 11 inches.
